Mission Statement

    Our goal is to have happy patients and physicians who would gladly refer their friends and family to our clinic.  Advanced Center for Physical Therapy, PLC is owned and managed by two physical therapists with a combined 35 years of experience. ACPT owners, Melissa and Jim Schmidt, have been residents of the Charlottesville community for over 15 years.  We use our expertise to produce great results for our patients.

 Same Day Appointments

    At Advanced Center for Physical Therapy, we are proud to offer same-day appointments.  We believe that no one should live with pain any longer than absolutely necessary.  Also, time lost from work due to an injury or persistent pain equals income lost for an employee, and worker’s compensation money paid by an insurance company.  It’s in everyone’s best interest for a patient to get back to living his/her normal life as quickly as possible.  Finally, same day appointments provide a service to local physicians, who prefer to see their patients treated quickly, expediently, and professionally.  Pain doesn’t wait and patients shouldn't have to either.

    Our physical therapists believe they make a difference when helping people who experience pain.  Why do they believe?  They believe because they get results.  Our staff has specialized skills for treating neck and back injuries, shoulders, knees, ankles, and sports injuries, as well as TMJ and vertigo conditions.  We know that there are a lot of Physical Therapy Clinics in our area, but there is only one Advanced Center for Physical Therapy.  When it comes to your health and wellbeing you should expect the best and receive the best, and you will at our clinic.  Great Results is our business.
